Legal Eagle

The Legal Eagle Program, is designed to equip individuals, particularly youth, with a deep understanding of the legal system, their rights, and the political process. Through this program, we aim to cultivate a generation of informed leaders who can advocate for systemic change, protect their rights, and support their communities. Our overarching goal is to foster a society where every individual has the knowledge and tools to actively participate in democracy and drive positive social change.

The Legal Eagle Program provides a robust curriculum that covers key aspects of the political and legal processes. Participants learn how bills become laws, gaining insight into the legislative process and the structure of government. The program also delves into the workings of civil and criminal courts, offering a detailed study of how laws are applied and enforced.

A core component of the Legal Eagle Program is the Court Watch initiative, where youth are trained to observe and understand court proceedings. This hands-on experience enhances their legal literacy and provides practical insights into the judicial process. Additionally, the program emphasizes the power of voting and civic engagement. By highlighting the significance of each vote, we inspire active participation in the democratic process and encourage individuals to hold their elected officials accountable.

Urban communities have long been traumatized by systemic government neglect and injustices, leading to widespread disengagement and mistrust in the political process. This disconnection is exacerbated by Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), which include exposure to violence, poverty, and discrimination, deeply impacting individuals' ability to participate actively in their communities. At We Are Revolutionary, we address these traumas by focusing on ACEs, providing resources and support to heal and empower individuals. By integrating an understanding of ACEs into our Legal Eagle Program, we aim to break the cycle of disengagement, fostering a sense of agency and encouraging active civic participation among urban youth.
