Position Overview:
We Are Revolutionary is seeking a dedicated Statewide Organizer to focus on Family Policing to join our movement. Our organization is committed to addressing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and fighting against the systemic separation of BIPOC families. As a peer advocacy group, we prioritize lived experience over academic credentials, and we are looking for individuals who are directly impacted or have a deep connection to these issues.
The Family Policing Organizer will work closely with families and communities impacted by the child welfare system, advocating for family preservation, justice, and community-led solutions. This role involves organizing campaigns, mobilizing affected families, and challenging systems that disproportionately harm BIPOC families.
Key Responsibilities:
Advocacy and Campaigns: Lead and support grassroots campaigns aimed at ending the harmful family policing system, emphasizing the preservation and empowerment of BIPOC families.
Community Organizing: Build strong relationships with families impacted by the child welfare system and engage them in peer advocacy efforts, ensuring their voices are heard and amplified.
Educational Outreach: Conduct workshops, trainings, and community discussions to raise awareness of the impacts of family policing and highlight alternatives that prioritize family unity and healing.
Coalition Building: Collaborate with local, state, and national organizations working on child welfare reform, family preservation, and racial justice to build strong coalitions and expand the reach of our work.
Peer Support: Provide direct support to families navigating the child welfare system by connecting them with resources, advocating for their rights, and creating spaces for healing and empowerment.
Qualifications:
Lived Experience: Personal experience with the child welfare system, ACEs, or the separation of BIPOC families is highly valued.
Passion for Social Justice: A deep commitment to racial justice, family preservation, and ending systemic harm to marginalized communities.
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people, including families, community members, and partner organizations.
Organizing Experience: Experience in grassroots organizing, campaign work, or community advocacy is a plus but not required. We value passion and dedication over formal credentials.

Program Coordinator (2 Positions)
Position Overview:
We Are Revolutionary is seeking two dedicated Program Coordinators to manage, enhance, and expand our youth and family programs. This role requires a dynamic individual who excels at communication, organization, and leadership. The ideal candidates will work closely with our organizers, supervisors, and members to maintain program structure, foster engagement, and achieve impactful results.Key Responsibilities:
Program Coordination: Develop, manage, and oversee program schedules to ensure smooth operations and alignment with organizational goals.
Evaluation and Reporting: Conduct regular program evaluations, gather feedback, and provide detailed reports to supervisors to measure program effectiveness.
Member Engagement: Communicate regularly with organizers and members, ensuring their needs are met and they remain active participants.
Standard Operating Procedures: Maintain and enforce program structures and processes based on established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Administrative Support: Create and distribute materials such as printouts and call scripts to members and organizers.
Outreach and Communication: Reach out to members to provide updates, share information, and encourage participation in programs and events.
Collaboration: Coordinate with supervisors and other team members to align efforts and ensure consistency across programs.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience in program coordination, community organizing, or a related field preferred.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Proficiency in using technology for scheduling, reporting, and communication.

As a youth organizer, you will have the opportunity to build and lead grassroots campaigns, organize events, and engage your peers in meaningful social and political advocacy. This program is an excellent way to develop leadership skills, learn the essentials of community organizing, and be part of a powerful movement for change.
Key Responsibilities:
Campaign Building: Work with fellow youth organizers to develop and execute grassroots campaigns that address issues impacting your community, from social justice to political engagement.
Event Planning and Hosting: Organize and host events such as rallies, town halls, and community discussions to raise awareness, educate, and mobilize the community around key issues.
Community Engagement: Attend and participate in community events, helping to recruit others to join the movement and ensuring that your peers are engaged and informed.
Advocacy and Leadership: Learn how to advocate for the issues you care about while developing critical leadership and organizing skills.

We Are Revolutionary Internship Program

We Are Revolutionary is looking for passionate and motivated students to join our team as interns to support our ongoing campaign work. As an intern, you’ll play a key role in organizing efforts that empower communities, address Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and engage youth in political and social advocacy. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in grassroots organizing, campaign work, and social impact while being part of a dynamic movement for justice.
Internship Roles:
1. Statewide Organizer Intern:
Assist with canvassing, phone banking, tabling, and event promotion.
Attend community events to spread awareness and recruit others to join our movement.
Mobilize students and community members to participate in events, ensuring strong engagement.
2. Campaign Coordinator Intern:
Help schedule meetings and coordinate events with partners and community organizations.
Assist in partner communications, ensuring seamless collaboration on programs and events.
Ensure youth organizers are aware of schedules, meetings, and important dates.
Attend and help facilitate meetings, gather feedback, and follow up on action items.
3. Communications Specialist Intern:
Create, schedule, and manage social media content to keep our followers informed and engaged.
Develop creative campaigns to amplify our message and increase our online presence.
Monitor social media trends to ensure we remain relevant and impactful.
4. Videographer Intern:
Capture video footage from events, campaigns, and community activities.
Edit and produce compelling videos to share on social media and other platforms.
Work with the team to create visual content that tells the story of our movement and inspires action.
Qualifications:
