At We Are Revolutionary, our board, staff, and membership are a powerful collective of system-impacted individuals, survivors of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), peer advocates, specialists, and artists. United by lived experience and a commitment to transformative change, we are dedicated to disrupting oppressive systems and uplifting our communities through advocacy, healing, and creative expression.

  • Lukee Forbes, Co- Founder and Executive Director

    Lukee Forbes is a community organizer, activist and the campaign coordinator for the Hudson Catskill Housing Coalition. Lukee focuses on providing transformative educational, cultural and global experiences. He is currently on the board for The Free School and NYCLU.

  • Qubilah Sales, Co-Founder Director of Programing

    Qubilah is an actress and activist from Albany, New York. Qubilah has held multiple lead roles in theatre productions in the Capital Region. She partnered with Lukee in 2022 to form We Are Revolutionary.

  • Niesreen Mende, Director of Organizing

    .Niesreen is an activist and entrepreneur based in the Capital Region. She is currently the Co-Chair of the Working Families Party in Schenectady, New York and runs her own health and wellness business.

  • Maryika Stubbs, Director of Operations

    Maryika is a communications strategist and entrepreneur from Albany, New York. She holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Communications from the University at Albany. Maryika has held various roles in the non-profit and community organizing space since she was 16.
